Hello! My name is Cassandra Roos, I am the owner and photographer of Oh Snap! Photography. I am an on-location natural light photographer based in the greater Quad City area.
Obviously I love photography. I find joy in capturing moments, not poses. Life is found in the moments that we live, and that’s what I want my clients to remember. Not the crying two year old that we forced to sit here, put your hands here and smile at the crazy lady. But Daddy chasing his little girl, Mommy sneaking in a hug, a sweet kiss between young lovers, that that first moment alone after you just said ‘I Do’, brother holding sisters hand. Moments are what I live for. Thats the sweet spot right there, and those are the memories I want to put on your walls to be remembered.
Ever since I was a little girl; whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell them that I wanted to be a mom. Life goal right there. Now I am a wife, a step mom, and a mother to my girls. They are my world. I have two daughters that are beautiful, captivating and quite the hand full, but I love every minute of it. Most days you’ll find me chasing them around the house, picking up trails of toys, signing ‘Potty’ and ‘Please’ about 57 times, and relaxing on the couch with a wine glass of Diet Coke while my babies sleep.
Past being a mother and a photographer, I am an essential oil and DIY addict. In my home we have homemade chapstick, Vicks, pain cream, healing cream, candles, lotion, soap, hair products… Well, you get the picture. I am a nut, but I find such pleasure in being able to create things with my hands that my family can use, even if it takes 4 trips to Hobby Lobby and a few too many hours of my time. To hear more about this, read my blog post here.
I also enjoy playing on our church softball league, hunting for old furniture that I can transform with some paint and knobs, Garage Sale-ing with my Mom and Grandma, pinteresting, binge watching seasons on Netflix while I clean or craft, talking people’s ears off about Essential Oils, drinking excessive amounts of Diet Coke (with grenadine!),and trying (and failing) at sewing.
